Ownership & History
This vineyard has been run by the family for more than 4 generations. Today Phillipe Liberatore and his wife have taken over the estate. Concerned by biodiversity, they are involved in an environmental-friendly approach.
-
Vineyard & Location
The vineyard currently covers 30 hectares. The vineyards are planted in the far east of Bordeaux vineyard, a very qualitive terroir. They produce AOC Bordeaux rouge,
rosé, blanc and Bordeaux supérieur. The vines are on average 25 years old.
-
Harvest, vinification & ageing
There are two ways of making rosé wine. One method, known as ‘rosé de saignée’, makes for fairly powerful wines, whereas the other method, direct pressing,
results in more aromatic, refreshing wines. The rosé
from Château Jaron is issued from the second method. Moreover, the low temperature fermentation allows to keep all the fruit aromas.
