The Formula ROBERT'S SHIRAZ 2019

  • Short description
De-stemmed, temperature controlled and fermented in stainless steel vessels for 5-7 days on skins. Aged in a mixture of seasoned French and American hogs-head barrels for no less than 18 months prior to bottling. The use of seasoned oak allows the truth of the varietal, regional and season characteristics to show without being overshadowed by excessive wood characters

The fruit for Robert’s Shiraz is sourced from one of Mr. Black’s major partners in crime, Robert Bader. It is grown on Robert’s property on the Adelaide Plains, near the Gawler River. The vines are well established at an age of 55 years. They are pruned to vigour each season and picked on flavour. This low yielding, balanced crop consistently gives premium Barossa fruit a good run for its money
