About Abbey Saint Martin
The history of Abbey Saint Martin began in 1096 in Tournai, one of the Belgium's oldest cities, located 90km southwest of Brussels.
The beer was brewed at the monastery by the Holy Monks, but was suspended during the French Revolution of 1797 because of the war. By 1890, the Brasserie de Brunehaut brewer had continued to brew and ferment according to the traditional recipe recorded and preserved by the monks.
Today, Abbey Saint Martin is one of the most favored craft beers in the world because of its esoteric recipe, traditional floating fermentation method, organic ingredients and indescribably delicious taste.
